This is a book about second chances that is told in mostly Jack's POV except for the prologue that is told in Melanie's P.O.V. As soon as Jack met Melanie it was love at first sight. The only problem was that she was married. Now 5 years later Melanie is back with her daughter and no husband. As soon as Jack knows Melanie is a single woman he goes after her. Melanie doesn't just have herself to think about, but she also has her daughter. This was a slow burn romance that reminded me of a hallmark movie with a few steamy scenes. I felt the story was predictable and I didn't care for how insta-love it was, but it was written well and I enjoyed falling into the story. I thought Jack was too perfect of a guy and I think only once we saw him show some human emotions. I wish we would have seen Melanie's point of view in this story because I think it would have added layers that to me were missing to really understand their love story. Overall, if you are looking for a cute hallmark type book this is the one for you to read.
