A Reluctant Roommate- Review!!

I don’t have the hots for my roommate… If I say it enough times, will I believe it? A Reluctant Roommate, an all-new hilarious forced-proximity, brother’s best friend, romantic comedy from USA Today bestselling author Angela Casella is available now!

BLURB:

I don’t have the hots for my roommate… If I say it enough times, will I believe it?

Drew

Some people might say I’m allergic to change. They’d be right.

I’ve lived in the same house my entire life, worked at the same company since I graduated from college, and hung out with the same three friends since middle school.

If you think that sounds boring, you’re in agreement with my new roommate—my sister’s best friend, Andrea Ruiz.

Andy has always been a ball buster, a hell raiser…and she’s also the sexiest woman I’ve ever met. I let her move in because she was down and needed a place to stay, but she’s taking a hammer to my carefully constructed life.

Andy

My grandmother’s always told me I’m too impulsive for my own good. Should’ve listened to her, I guess. I posted a few (very tame) videos of my feet on a platform known for its racy content, and suddenly found myself homeless and out of a job. But Drew took pity on me and gave me a place to live, and now the Fairy Godmother Agency, a husband and wife P.I. team who thrive on anarchy, is offering me a job.

Drew’s so solid and reliable. I know my chaos is driving him crazy, but there’s a part of me that likes driving him crazy. I want to crack his shell. Because in the brief moments when he lets himself relax his rules, he's surprisingly irresistible.

My Rating 3 Stars

Andy just got kicked out of her grandma's house and is moving in with her best friend's brother while she figures out what she is going to do with her life. Drew's life is a little boring at times, but he likes it because it's kept him safe. Andy definitely helps spices up his life as the two learn how to live together. Drew can't help it, but the more time he spends with Andy the more he sees her and the more he can't help his growing crush on her. Andy starts working with the Fairy Godmother Agency trying to rebuild her life. Will Andy take a chance with Drew or will she focus on her new career and friends instead?

This is the first book by this author that I've read. It was a cute best friends, forced proximity, opposites attract with a touch of mystery. I didn't love Andy at the beginning, but I will say she did grow on me. I love how she was able to get Drew to loosen up and I love how he was just a good guy. While this can be read as a standalone I think you might want to read the other books in this series because it focuses heavily on their friends at time. Overall, it was a cute book with some steam and a touch of mystery.

The Godparent Trap-Cover Reveal!!

Rachel Van Dyken has revealed the cover for The Godparent Trap!

Releasing: July 19, 2022

BLURB:

Life's Too Short meets The Unhoneymooners in this sparkling, steamy, and swoon-worthy novel from #1 New York Times bestselling author Rachel Van Dyken, in which two sworn enemies must share house, home--and maybe their hearts--when they become co-parents after a sudden loss.

Colby's living her best life: as a popular food blogger, she gets to fulfill her dreams of exploring the globe. But her world comes crashing down when a tragic accident leaves her co-guardian of her best friend's two adorable children. Not only does she need to put down roots--fast--but she'll be sharing custody with the one man she can't stand sharing a continent with, let alone a house.

Accountant-extraordinaire Rip values rules and plans. But when he loses his sister and his best friend and becomes an insta-guardian all in one night, Rip sees his organized life imploding. What he really doesn't need is his sister's irresponsible, flighty--albeit kind and gorgeous--best friend making it worse.

Rip doesn't trust Colby to take their new responsibilities seriously, while Colby can't believe Rip thinks children will thrive under his rigid control. Yet soon Rip and Colby discover they need each other more than they hate each other. Could it be possible that following their hearts is just what their new little family needs?

Oops I've Fallen Review

BLURB:

If my time with Ryan Miller were a hit track on the radio, I imagine the lyrics would go something like this…

“We’re so different, but they say opposites attract. Oops, I’ve fallen, and my heart doesn’t want to come back.”

But, holy bingo night, is my attraction to the sexy, broody businessman so much more complicated than the chorus of a song.

His dad lives right next to my mom, and after the two of them suffered an unexplained accident while taking down holiday decorations, both Ryan and I were forced to become the only thirtysomething residents of Sunny Creek Village Independent Senior Living Community.

Temporarily moving in might seem like overkill for a fractured tailbone and a severely pulled groin muscle, but believe me, when your mom is as wild as mine and your dad is as cantankerous as Ryan’s, they need supervision to ensure they stick to doctor’s orders.

Constantly thrown together by the antics of our crazy parents and the tough-as-nails community enforcer, Betty Matthews, Ryan and I formed an alliance for the sole purpose of survival.

But I never expected to be so interested in finding out what he was hiding beneath his grumpy, serious demeanor. More than that, I never dreamed what I found would be the kind of man women sell their souls to the devil for.

Unfortunately, our little one-hit wonder on the airwaves has more to say before it comes to an end.

Although, finishing the outro to this song is a real doozy...

Tell me…what lyric rhymes with Oops, I’ve fallen for my future stepbrother?

My Review:
My Rating: 4 Stars

Carly's mom Stella and Ryan's dad Sal both suffered an unexplained accident while taking down holiday decorations, at least that's their story. After finding out Carly's mom has a fractured tail bone she goes to help her around and make sure she doesn't do anything to make it worse. Ryan also moves to the retirement community temporarily to help his dad while he heals from a pulled groin. Carly is a carefree ski instructor and runs her own business, while Ryan is a workaholic. Ryan and Carly keep getting thrown together as they try to keep their parents from injuring themselves further. Even though Carly and Ryan are complete opposites they become co-conspirators while trying to keep their parents healthy and against Betty Matthews who seems to run the retirement community. This book will keep you laughing as you deal with the antics of Stella, Sal, Betty, and Carly. Poor Ryan is just along for the ride in most of the cases.

I thought this was a cute story, but ended up loving Sal, Stella and Ryan the most. At times Carly seemed a little too brash for my tastes, but I grew to like her towards the end of the book after taking care of her mom for so long. Can opposites attract and stay together? What happens when Stella and Sal's relationship comes to light for Carly and Ryan? If you want a funny story that deals with Tiktok. has some similar antics of Golden Girls with a splash of Mean Girls, this story is for you.
