After waking up in the hospital with no memories of her past Delaney has to figure out where to go from the beginning. Decker is visiting his mom in the hospital when he sees Delaney lying on a hospital bed and decides to go talk to her. After a quick conversation where Delaney learns Decker used to know her in high school she asks him to help her remember who she used to be.
It doesn't take long before Delaney and Decker become best friends as Delaney tries to live in a world she doesn't remember. Decker remembers Delaney from high school as a girl who was too good for him. Now he has to try and stop himself from a woman who he thinks is still too good for the reformed bad boy. The only problem is that what's meant to be will always find a way and this is his second chance to be with Delaney if he chooses.
I loved the friendship and buildup of this couple. Decker is a complete sweetheart to Delaney and so patient in her journey of trying to figure out who she is now. Delaney is so strong trying to figure out the world with just a few basic memories and never giving up on what she wants. This book did have a little bit of suspense wrapped in. This was my first book by this author, but won't be my last. I already want to go back and read about the side characters.
