I love Bella's writing and have read every book, except the short stories. This is the last of the first generation Kingston's and I'm sad to see it end. Ashlyn is the step mom to most of the Kingston and has a 15 year old. She's been in the books since the beginning quietly at first until the last book where she really connected with Juliette. I was excited to get to know Ashlyn more and find out why she married the older John Kingston when she was so much younger than him and we finally understand why she made the choices she did.

Haven is a second chance romance between Ashlyn and Brandon. The two met when she was an Olympic skater and after spending one night just talking the two felt a connection. Things happened and 15 years later Brandon's sister is married to one of Ashlyn's step sons. The two have been around each other because of the Kingston family trying to avoid each other until one incident happens and the chemistry between the two that has been laying dormant for years picks up.

I enjoyed this book. I felt the romance was a little rushed if I hadn't read the previous books, but I was intrigued as to Ashlyn's past. This is a second chance romance and I feel those are usually rushed a little more because the two characters already have a past together and know each other. I loved her relationship with her family and especially her daughter Lindy. I love that Ashlyn has a big family who is always there for her whether she wants them or not and I love how protective Brandon was of Ashlyn and Lindy. It was great to see the other Kingston's in this book and I absolutely love their family group chats. Can I be included on those because they crack me up! I can't wait to read Lindy and Easton's book because I know with Bella's writing it's going to be amazing. I also loved the epilogue of this one because it ties up all the first generation of Kingston's and where they are in their happily ever afters. If you love romance, second chance, football and a little bit of a mystery I suggest reading this book if you haven't.

Dawson is a player for the Nashville Steel football team. After running into some trouble, courtesy of his sister, he now has to find a girlfriend and show the GM and owner of the team that he is settling down and cleaning up his public image. Hailey just recently got out of a relationship that didn't end well and isn't looking for anything serious when she is introduced to Dawson. The two come up with an agreement. Dawson gets the fake girlfriend to help clean up his image and in return he will teach Hailey how to seduce men and lose her virginity.

These two are polar opposites, but they work. I love how Dawson had reservations going into this, but loves his job and will do anything to stay with Nashville. We also got to see the other characters from the previous Nashville Steel books as this is the third one in the series. While, this is the third in the series it can be read as a standalone, but I recommend reading the other two. I loved watching Dawson grow through this process. He started as a loner but as time passed by he realized he wasn't really alone. I enjoyed Hailey and how open she was with what she wanted and deserved. Neither one was looking for anything serious, but sometimes life shows us who need. This was definitely a slow burn book and I loved the chemistry between Dawson and Hailey. I can't wait to see who of the Nashville Steel Stacey Lynn writes about next.

After winning a football game Davis decides to go to a local pub instead of going out with his teammates where he runs into Maggie, whose down on her luck right now. After a couple of drinks, nachos and some conversation the two go back to Davis' apartment and have a wild night together. The next morning Maggie slips out just when Davis is getting ready to ask her if they could have some more time together. A few months later Maggie finds out she's pregnant and goes to tell Davis. As the two deal with this unplanned pregnancy they realize the chemistry is still there from the night they met. Maggie just wants to be friends, while Davis is going to show her they can be so much more! As Maggie's pregnancy develops her past comes to light and the two must overcome the trouble that is headed their way.

Honestly, I loved Davis in this book. He is genuinely a nice guy, who behind closed doors has that sexy edge that is needed. He wants to take care of Maggie and their baby. Maggie grew on me. I wasn't sure how I felt about her at first, but I understand with her past why she was the way she was. She did frustrate me at times, but she felt real. I love how Davis was close to his family. I loved the chemistry between Maggie and Davis and how they had to trust each other and how protective Davis was over Maggie and their baby. I also loved seeing Davis with his teammates and how we saw Eden and Cole and the other characters from Sneak Attack, which is the first book in the Nashville Steel series. While Time Out can be read as a standalone I would suggest reading Sneak Attack too just because it was so good. I also like how Stacey didn't rush the pregnancy in order to just get to the baby part! Overall, if you like unexpected pregnancy, guy falls first, athlete, football books than you will enjoy this one.

Lucienne needs a husband in order to gain control of her grandfather's company due to some outdated rules about female owners need to be married or over 30 in order run the company themselves. She will do nothing to stop her from running Peery Diamonds even if she has to arrange a marriage. After finding her fiancé in bed with her sister, Lucienne demands she marry his older brother or they will lose 30% of their company. Sebastian is sick of having to clean up his family's mess, but this time he's going to get revenge. As Sebastian and Luce co-exist they realize the other might not be exactly who they thought they were when agreed to this plan and as the two spend time together the lines get more and more blurred between them.

I enjoyed this book and the small cameos of Sebastian's half brothers making appearances. This book can be read as a standalone, but it is fun watching all of the brother's falling for their women. I also loved how she tied in other characters from her other books in this one besides the brothers. I felt so much empathy for Luce. She's just trying to be successful and live her life but one thing after another just keeps trying to push her down, but she keeps standing up! If your looking for a arranged marriage, dislike at first, sexy, funny story then this book is for you.

EXCERPT

My ex gives me a once-over and smirks. “Oh, I get it. Looking for a husband.”

I try not to snort. He doesn’t watch the news—thinks it’s boring—and his family apparently hasn’t updated him about my new status. Maybe they disowned him. Wouldn’t that be great?

He continues, “I don’t know why you waste your time like this. Look, I’m happy to let it go if you’ll just see the light and change your mind about our—”

“Don’t hold your breath.” He’s dumber than I thought, bringing up the engagement when I still can’t find enough mind bleach to erase seeing him with my sister.

“There you are,” comes Sebastian’s voice from behind me. “Oh, hello, Preston.”

When he stops next to me, I put my arm around his waist. “What perfect timing.” I smile up at him.

He gives me a mildly curious look, but wraps an arm around my shoulders.

See? This is what you get when you’re with a smart man. He knows the role you’d like him to play without your having to spell it out. Preston’s brow knits as he takes in the tableau. “You guys are together?”

“What?” His shout rings in the wide-open space. “You can’t marry him!”

“I can’t? Oh, that’s too bad.” I tighten my hold on Sebastian, pressing my side against his. “’Cause I kinda already did.” I extend my left hand, so Preston can see my gorgeous Toi et Moi ring and the wedding band.

Sebastian flashes his as well. Man, we make a great team.

Preston blinks rapidly, his eyes fixed on our hardware. Finally, he jerks his head up, his face blotchy. “Why would you want him when you could have me?”

“Seriously? Are you blind?” I ask.

“I can see well enough to know those diamonds are tiny compared to the one I was going to give you!” He points at my finger.

I drop my gaze to his crotch for a second before lifting it back up. “His is both bigger and better than yours.”

Preston looks like he just got punched in the face by Mike Tyson. Sebastian shakes against me in silent laughter.

“What’s so funny?” Preston snarls.

“You.” Sebastian lets the laugh out. “You’re third-rate comedy, but at least you’re entertaining.” He wipes tears from his eyes.

Preston turns to me. “You bitch! It’s all your fault he’s mocking me!”

Sebastian steps forward, pulling away from my arm around his waist, as the mirth melts from his face. “Watch your tone if you want to keep your teeth. Nobody talks to my wife with disrespect.”

I pat his back a few times, to let him know it isn’t necessary for him to react like this. Part of me is flattered and moved that he’s defending me, but another part feels a bit unworthy of his protection because… Well, I did force him to marry me.

Preston slashes the air with his arm. “She’s my fiancée!”

Jace is a single dad in search of a nanny for his son Cohen. Nobody seems good enough until Indy walks through the door. Even though he's still skeptical he ends up taking a chance on Indy and offering her the job. Indy does not want to be a nanny, but it will help her pay off her student loans and give her a chance to save money while only being a year long contract.

This was a little insta love burn and I wish we could have seen more of a build up between Indy and Jace. I enjoyed the characters though. Jace knows what he wants and just goes for it. I love that we got to see the other Kingston siblings with Jace and Indy and see how the relationship between Jace and his siblings are and his take on how they treat him. I loved watching Jace with Cohen and Indy with Cohen because Bella did a great job bringing the baby into the story. I can't wait to read about the next Kingston sibling!

Gracie is new to the small town and while she's a little accident prone she does her best to not be such a clutz. Jensen is one of the town's firefighters and Vaughan brothers who just happens to have gone through some rough moments before Gracie arrives in town. After not having the best first impression Gracie and Jensen don't get along with each other hurling interesting insults at each other, except Jensen is always there to try and keep Gracie safe from herself. After Jensen falls down the stairs trying to help Gracie once again he becomes injured and the whole town thinks Gracie did it on purpose. Gracie is one of the best physical therapists in town and tasks herself with getting the town's beloved grump back to 100%. As the two spend more time together the bickering changes to combustible chemistry the two try to hide from the other. Will they both finally lower the walls around their hearts or will they continue to be enemies?

This was a great book with lots of humor, heart and heat. I loved the bickering between Jensen and Gracie and Gracie did not take any of Jensen's crap. I loved how the author showed Jensen's family and how close they all were and I hope we are going to get more books with the other siblings. I also loved the friendship between Gracie and Dani. I feel like I need to read Falling for the Grinch to see how Jensen and Gracie were in that book, but this one can be read as a standalone. Both Gracie and Jensen were going through things based on their pasts and I'm glad they had each other to see their pasts don't define them. Overall, if you are looking for a hilarious, small town romcom with two strong leads then this is a book for you.

Eden ran away from Marysville 7 years ago and is now returning to take care of Marley, an old neighbor and someone she deeply cares about fighting against an illness. She does not want to make a wave in Marysville since the last time she was there a huge mess was created with Cole and no matter how long ago it was Eden can't forget what happened that night. Cole is a quarterback for the Nashville Steels and is currently living in Marysville. When the two come face to face in the small town the sparks are still there stronger than ever, but Eden can't forget the role she plated in their past. Can Cole help her forgive them for the things in the past or will she run away again after she's not needed to help Marley?

This was a great book. It was hard in some parts for me with the way Eden helped take care of Marley. I l loved that Cole kept fighting for Eden even when it was against Eden herself. The two's relationship was more complicated than I thought based off the blurb, but it was beautiful. Eden had to learn to forgive herself and learn that it's okay to let people in. I loved meeting some of Cole's teammates and can't wait to read about their stories. Cole was patient and sweet and went after the woman he loved. Honestly if you are looking for a book with depth, overcoming obstacles, sexy times and a hero who will stop at nothing to get the woman he loves back then this is the book for you.
