Off Limits- Review!!

BLURB:

I know I should stay away ... but I just can't.

She's my best friend's little sister...

That alone should be enough to make me keep my hands to myself. Knowing her brother's extra protective should seal the deal.

But after Ellie turns up on our doorstep while her brother's not home and falls asleep on the couch after a misunderstanding with her roommate, I can't seem to stay away.

I'm not normally the kind of guy who only wants what he can't have, but in Ellie's case, I seem to be making an exception.

But how can I have her brother's back on the football field while stabbing him in it the rest of the time?

My Review:
Rating: 3 Stars

Ellie is a college student who goes to the same college as her over protective older brother. One night she needs a place to hang out while waiting for her roommate to be done with something and she ends up going to her brother and Simon's house. Cal (her brother) isn't home, but Simon is and the two end up spending some time together until Ellie falls asleep on their couch. Simon can't stop thinking about Ellie even though he knows she is off limits to her brother's friend.

While this was a cute story that mixed in Football, I just didn't see enough of Ellie and Simon falling for each other. I felt this story focused more on Ellie and her finding her own voice. I did like the character arc of Ellie. She started off as a very timid girl, but by the end of the book finally found her voice and was starting to realize who she was as a person. Simon was different than your typical jock. He was very soft spoken and thoughtful about things. I also enjoyed Ellie's roommate. She was a girl who definitely knew who she was and what to do in most situations. If you like romantic college sports books, this might be the book for you, but for me it almost went too far into too much lust and not enough depth in their relationship.

Again, I did enjoy the character arc of Ellie and to me that is what really drove this book.
