Love to Tempt You-Release Blitz and Review

BLURB:

Our band's stunning, untouched new assistant was completely off-limits. But that didn't stop me.

A car crash. A fake story at the hospital.
She warned me when I dragged her from the nightmare that was her life that she could very well destroy mine.
I didn't listen. I didn't care.
I brought her into my home. Into my life. Gave her a job.
My Pandora. A goddess amongst mortals who opened a jar and obliterated my world with her beautiful evils. But from the moment I saw her, I knew she had to be mine.
Consequences be damned.

In a life where getting by is barely a thing, I didn’t expect much.
Until I crashed into him. Literally.
Keith Dawson is a god amongst mortals. A Rockstar I’ve drooled over for longer than I can remember.
And now the hero of my darkest tales when a hero was the last thing I was looking for.
But a god this powerful always has a fatal flaw. Turns out, she died a long time ago. And there is no living up to the ghosts of his past, right?
So where does that leave us? Well, that’s where this story gets interesting.

My Review:
My Rating: 3 Stars

According to Goodreads I am in the minority and while I liked this story and thought it was cute, it wasn't one I will go back and read. I liked the characters and I am just unsure why I didn't love this one. It was good, but for me was missing that special spark. Keith is the drummer of the Wild Ones, a popular band, when he gets in a car crash with Maia.

Both have had a rough life that have shaped them into the people they are now. I liked how real the characters were. The author did a great job showing the raw pain Keith went through and how he's still healing after a traumatic experience. I feel the relationship with Keith and Maia was a little rushed, but the author did address that. Like I said, many people on Goodreads loved this and while this wasn't a book I felt sad about laying down I am slightly intrigued with the next book as I do love a good best friend's sibling story. I almost wonder if I would have liked this book more had I started with the first in the series. Even though this book can be read as a standalone I might have connected more with Keith after seeing him in the other stories.
