Paige is working multiple jobs to raise her son Finn and trying to make sure he has a better life than she did. One night Paige is "working" and Slade sees her on his father's arm. He ends up making her leave the party and then pays her for her "services." Paige doesn't accept the money because she has learned in life nothing is truly free, Slade ends up going to her place to try and pay her again when he realizes she has a baby and ends up giving her a job as a maid for his ranch house. The two bump heads quite a bit as he is used to getting her way and she is not easily controlled.

I wish we would have gotten to know Slade better because he does some stuff at the beginning that makes you question why he cares. This may not be love at first sight but they fall for each other pretty fast. Both Slade and Paige have secrets and while I guessed Paige's secret pretty early in the book I still enjoyed the book. I would have liked to see more conversations between Paige and Slade while falling in love. I will say after they got together I loved how Slade became protective over Paige and Finn and fell into a little family. I feel there were times where Paige's lies weren't very consistent, but again when you are lying to others and yourself that makes sense. Overall, if you are looking for a quick read that has a little drama and a lot of cute baby moments and everyday activities this book might be for you.

MacKenzie is Luke's Best Friend, Nash's little sister, which meant as close as Luke was to their family she was off limits. After running into MacKenzie at his ex's wedding the two get drinks and Luke ends up inviting her on a trip to Hawaii he won in Vegas. The only thing is that it was supposed to be a Honeymoon trip. This should be fine though, after all, they both aren't looking for love. Luke doesn't want to fall in love again after getting his heart ripped from his cheating ex and MacKenzie has just returned home after ending an engagement because she didn't like the woman she was tuning into. It's just when you are alone with an old crush and sharing a bed sometimes things just end up happening. The two say it doesn't mean anything and will just be a vacation thing, but what happens when they get back to Montana? Can you really handle friends with benefits or does it always lead to something more? 

This was a super cute story. I loved how confident MacKenzie was and how Luke let her be the woman she wanted to be. He didn't try to change her. I loved seeing the jealous side of the cowboy come out and his dirty talk! This is the first book I read by this author but it won't be the last. If you need some sexy cowboy, strong woman, best friends little sister romance with low angst, this is the book for you. I will definitely be diving into the other books of this series. You don't need to read the other books before you read this one, but I do think it will help you connect better to the other family members since this is part of an interconnected series.

Elle has just recently moved into a small town in Colorado and opened a new barbershop called smoke and mirrors. I really thought the name of the barber shop was unique and the way the author described the sign was really cool. Elle used to be on a reality show as the bad girl and is trying to start fresh as a business woman and now a new dog mom. Wanting to make sure her dog is okay, she takes him to the vet where she meets the hot veterinarian Gray. He's a little brash towards her, but sweet towards her puppy. The two end up running into each other again and slowly become friends. Both are hiding secrets of their past and while they both want to stay in the small town neither one knows whether they can keep hiding from their past.

Let me first start off that not every book is for every person and according to Goodreads I am in the minority. Everyone else seemed to love it. However, I just never felt anything for Gray and the romance just seemed okay. I did like Elle and her discovery of who she is as a person now and learning to be friends with Piper. I understood her past and how it shaped her as the person she was trying to be. I thought Gray's secret past was going to be a bigger deal than what it actually was and just never connected to his story. The characters also seemed to be inside their own heads a lot of the time with this story and I would have liked to see them interact more with the other characters. This is a slow burn, low angst book with some steamy sexy times, but I just wanted more out of Gray. Again, I am in the minority because a lot of people seemed to love it, so if you like a grumpy hero, small town, secret pasts you might like this one.

Rowan's grandfather passed away and left his 3 Grandsons different tasks in order to receive different parts of their family's company.  Rowan is tasked with identifying Dreamland’s weaknesses and head a renovation plan worthy of his grandfather’s legacy in order to keep his 18% and job at the company. Rowan ends up going to Dreamland where he bumps into Zahra on his first day. She is a complete ray of Sunshine while he is grumpy with his task that he has to do now. 

Zahra works in the Dreamland Salon but dreams of being a Creator. When her roommate convinces Zahra to fill out an application, she gets stuck and ends up drinking way too much and begins to criticize Dreamland's most expensive ride. After sobering up the next day she thinks she is going to get fired, however Rowan ends up making her a creator. The only problem is that he is very difficult to work for especially when the chemistry between the two starts to heat up. What is it about Zahra that has Rowan so intrigued and why can't he leave her alone?

If you are looking for a hot enemy to lovers, amusement park, billionaire boss books then this is one for you. I have never read a book by Lauren Asher, but I definitely can't wait to read the next one in this trilogy. I loved the side characters and how the author did a slow burn romance between these two. Plus if you are a Disney fan then you need to read this book because I caught some great parallels from Dreamland and Disney.
