Max is a hockey player for the Las Vegas Vipers and is trying to enjoy a week long vacation for his brother's wedding. He is trying to take it easy after an injury and just enjoy spending time with his family and thinking about his future. Kim is the bride's cousin and the two are as close as sisters. Max and Kim decide to have a no strings attachment since Kim lives in California and Max lives in Vegas, but as the week goes by the two get to know each other better and Max wants more. Can he convince Kim that they can make this work?

This was a cute story, but did not have as much hockey in it as the others in this series. You can read this book as a standalone even though it's the 4th book in the Las Vegas Vipers series. I liked that Kim knew what she wanted and was a very strong female character. I also love how Max had such a soft side but could be an alpha when needed. This is a very light read with little angst that will have you wishing one of your family members were getting married on a private island.
