Emily is a single mom, who had a one night stand and is doing her best to provide a good life for her son. She never caught the guys last name or number after the one night stand so she was never able to find the guy and tell him he was going to be a dad. After a series of events Emily finds Landon's dad and the two have to navigate how to deal with the news and how they are going to raise Landon.

Cade is a famous NHL player and his family has a very successful ranch. After finding out he's a father Cade is all in. He's excited to get to know his son and even re-light the spark between him and Emily. However, not everyone wants Cade and Emily together and to be a family with their son.

This was a cute story. I felt it was a little insta-love, which normally isn't my style, but for this story it seemed to work. I liked how Cade and Emily were willing to work together for Landon to have both his parents. Cade was willing to go slow and let Emily take the wheel with how he would be in Landon's light. I loved that Emily wanted Cade to be in Landon's life and was excited that Landon would have more people in his corner. I enjoyed seeing Cade's family and how they reacted to Landon and Emily because Stacey made it believable. If you are looking for a cute little romance with a surprise baby this might be the book for you.
