Sylvia is a newly single mom, who just moved back to the small town where she grew up. Henry is also just recently divorced and focusing on his work until he sees Sylvia again. Now he's trying to be a good guy and not go after her because after all they are both recently divorced and not completely on steady feet yet. This was a story about second chances and trying to find balance between being a good mom and the sacrifices they sometimes have to make.
I enjoyed the relationship with Henry and Sylvia. Henry was a very patient man, who loves his job and is great with children. Sylvia wanted something that was real after her ex pretty much treated his kids like crap and bought affection. They were perfect for each other even though there were many bumps in the road of them being together. I liked that Henry respected Sylvia's wishes and knew she would always put her children first. I will admit though I loved when we got Saucy Sylvia, especially at the Santa breakfast and when she went out to seduce poor Henry. This was a cute story and I really hope we get to read April's story next.
