Emily needs to escape after finding her boyfriend cheating on her. Emily's best friend Amber is going to visit her brother Adam and his band in Vegas. Not wanting to leave her best friend alone after finding out about her boyfriend Amber drags her along for her birthday weekend. Emily has always had a major crush on her best friend's older brother. As soon as Adam opens the door of his Las Vegas Suite Emily remembers just how much of a crush she had on him and Adam notices she's not the same girl he remembers, but now a woman. Sparks fly between the two as they hang out and both comment how they are relationship people and not one night stand people. After a few tequila shots and some other booze they both wake up the next morning not remembering the night before where they got married! With Adam being a rock star
everyone knows about the two getting married and the bands manager, Kylie, shows Adam how much the bands sales have risen after everyone found out about the marriage. Adam's band is supposed to be doing a reality television show and after finding out how everyone has reacted asks Emily to stay married to him for 6 months. 

Emily decides to help him out, except what happens when the feelings she felt when she was younger become stronger. After all, this is only supposed to be a fake marriage...right? But the way Adam is making her feel she doesn't know if she can pretend to be in love with her husband when she really is falling in love with him. Also, is Adam only acting this way because of the show or is he feeling what she's feeling?

I loved the side characters and the chemistry between Adam and Emily. I liked that Emily thought things through and didn't just follow her heart. There were times that I wanted to smack Adam, but as a whole I really liked how he went after what he wanted. There were a few things that I feel were just added in as drama and never felt fully resolved, but I will definitely be checking out more of this author's books, especially Amber and Rascal's book.

Boyfriend wanted: Loyal and funny. Wait…I just described a dog. I should buy a dog.

For real, though, Loyal and funny, that’s easy enough, right?

Wrong!

Do you ever ask yourself why dating in today’s society is so hard? Or where all the

good guys are? Or what happened to dating before sex and *gasp* chivalry?

I wish I had the answers to those questions for you, but I don’t. Unfortunately, I’m

scratching my head and wondering the same things you are, which is how I ended up

here in the first place.

I never thought I’d be a blogger—especially one who writes about men and

dating—and really, I’m not; I’m just a twenty-something girl who got her heart broken

for the first time and, while drowning myself in a pint of cookie dough ice cream,

thought to myself: Self, how many other girls out there are doing this exact thing?

How many of us are loading up on carbs and sugar while mentally berating humans of

the penis-wielding variety?

I know I can’t be the only one.

After proposing that same question to my sister, she suggested that I blog about it.

I received an arc in exchange for an honest review. This book has everything from loss, to second chances to love. I liked this book, but I felt the author rushed things a bit because it was a novella. Sullivan hasn’t been home for 8 years. His mom calls him with the news his grandmother isn’t doing well and he decides to go home for the holidays. When Sullivan gets home runs into an old family friend, but she’s not the same little girl he remembers, now she’s a woman. Melissa always had a crush on Sullivan growing up and now that he’s home and sees her as more than just the annoying girl she used to be can there be more between the two?

Like I said this was cute and reminded me of a hallmark movie with a little heat. If you are looking for a light holiday read this is the book for you.

I'm a feisty redheaded Canadian/American who fell in love with romance novels when my friend Phil bought me a Kindle that hasn't left my side since.

My favorite books to read are anything taboo and super sick and twisted. I'm not sure I will ever write anything dark, but I would love to give it a shot one day.

Humbugged by Pippa Grant and Lila Valente was almost the perfect Christmas book. It had tons of romance, sexual tension and comedy with even a little mystery thrown in. This is the 4th book in the Happy Cat series and while it can be read as a standalone it would be best to start from the beginning to truly understand the side characters and the craziness that ensues them. I love Pippa and Litli's writing and need to go back and read the first two books in the series!

About this book, Clint is a marine who is back in his hometown and stationed to recruit others to the Marines. Noelle is the new bakery owner in town, who is trying to put herself in the Christmas spirit even though things keep going wrong. The sparks fly and after Clint saves her a few times they end up settling on being friends with benefits. I was also happily surprised that I wasn't able to solve the mystery 100% on my own.

One of my favorite parts of this book was the goose Nutquacker who just has it out for Noelle and Clint has to keep saving her from him. The memes in this book just had me laughing so much too along with all the other animals and characters in the book. Overall, this is a great holiday read for anyone who needs one and the icing on the cake to those who have read the Happy Cat series.
