Max is a hockey player for the Las Vegas Vipers and is trying to enjoy a week long vacation for his brother's wedding. He is trying to take it easy after an injury and just enjoy spending time with his family and thinking about his future. Kim is the bride's cousin and the two are as close as sisters. Max and Kim decide to have a no strings attachment since Kim lives in California and Max lives in Vegas, but as the week goes by the two get to know each other better and Max wants more. Can he convince Kim that they can make this work?

This was a cute story, but did not have as much hockey in it as the others in this series. You can read this book as a standalone even though it's the 4th book in the Las Vegas Vipers series. I liked that Kim knew what she wanted and was a very strong female character. I also love how Max had such a soft side but could be an alpha when needed. This is a very light read with little angst that will have you wishing one of your family members were getting married on a private island.

How?

JoJo’s words swirled in my head. I could hardly focus as I stared at the girl who looked so much like me it was frightening.

For the first time in my life, my legs felt as if they might give way.

Max Emery is back with his evil genius self. Max is CEO and has his interns play games for permanent jobs with high perks. Ivy is one of the interns along with her old childhood neighbor turned crush turned almost something more turned to enemy again. The only problem is that Ivy is partnered with Jack, her mortal enemy. This years theme for the Emory games is "Office Date." The two interns have to do different crazy tasks and try to get the most points to win. Jack and Ivy have to learn to trust each other as they play the game, but as they learn to depend on each other will something more happen?

I enjoyed the light and fluffiness of this book. It's the perfect book to take with you to the beach and just read and relax as you read about the chaos that ensues between Ivy and Jack and Max with his cousin Dustin who is trying to keep him in line. I love Rachel's mafia books, but sometimes I just need a light hearted romantic comedy and this definitely hit the spot.
