Logan is the new coach of the Nashville Steel football team. That's not the only new thing in his life as he is recently divorced and now his daughter is un expectantly coming to stay with him. He's not ready for her yet, especially with trying to coach a new team. Needing to find a nanny now for his daughter sooner rather than later one of his player overhears his predicament and recommends his younger sister Ruby nanny for him while she figures out what she wants to do in her life next.

Ruby is staying with her brother as she saves money to pay off her loans after graduating college before going to grad school. She can't beat the price that Logan is willing to pay her to watch his daughter Amelia. As the two are around each other the attraction and chemistry sizzles as they both try to ignore it. After all, Ruby is the nanny and younger than Logan. 

This book was spicy and I liked how the author wrote the different relationships between Logan and the women in his life. I enjoyed learning more about Ruby and Logan's lives and you even get to see glimpses of the other Nashville Steel player's from previous books. This can be read as a standalone, but the other books in the series are so good and each book is different that I would recommend you read those too. As I said watching these two fight their feelings until they can't anymore will make you swoon. I also loved how it was realistic and showed the problems they went through as a couple. I don't want to give too much away but if you love the nanny/ single dad trope or the football trope you need to read this book.

Jace is a single dad in search of a nanny for his son Cohen. Nobody seems good enough until Indy walks through the door. Even though he's still skeptical he ends up taking a chance on Indy and offering her the job. Indy does not want to be a nanny, but it will help her pay off her student loans and give her a chance to save money while only being a year long contract.

This was a little insta love burn and I wish we could have seen more of a build up between Indy and Jace. I enjoyed the characters though. Jace knows what he wants and just goes for it. I love that we got to see the other Kingston siblings with Jace and Indy and see how the relationship between Jace and his siblings are and his take on how they treat him. I loved watching Jace with Cohen and Indy with Cohen because Bella did a great job bringing the baby into the story. I can't wait to read about the next Kingston sibling!

Ben just found out he's a dad to a toddler and is trying to wrap his head around it while trying to keep his heart protected from his baby mama who broke it after high school. Sienna's just got out of a relationship and isn't looking for a new one when Ben asks to move in with her and to be his fake girlfriend to keep his baby mama away from him. The two have started to become friends so she agrees with both saying this is not real. I know, you know, those are famous last words, especially in a romance book. As the two spend more time together the chemistry that has always bubbled under the surface comes rising up and the two have to figure out what they want to do with it. 

This was my first full book by this author and I have to say I enjoyed it. There was a part towards the end that I felt it dragged a little, but overall, it was enjoyable. I loved how Sienna was a sunshine heroine who did her best to help Ben and I loved how Ben was grumpy towards everyone else except Sienna and his daughter.  This is the second book in the Varsity Dad's series and I did not read the first one and I was able to understand the story, although I probably will go back and read the first one because the glimpses of what I saw in this book made me think it will be good. If you are looking for a fake dating, single dad, small town, college, slow burn book this summer with some drama this is the book for you.

His son turns out to be a thirty six year old grumpy and stubborn cowboy. Rhett Jameson is a single father who after a night out ends up injuring himself. Rhett is stubborn and doesn't want to follow directions and take it easy. His dad Tex hires Leah to help rehabilitate his son so he can take over the ranch and not injure himself further. Rhett and his dad do not see eye to eye on things and after finding out he is getting a babysitter is not happy. After all, he has enough to deal with taking care of the Ranch and being a single father to his daughter Joey. Leah is stubborn too and doesn't give up on Rhett's injury, even if she has to change her dresses and heels to shorts and cowboy boots. As the two work together to take care of the ranch and heal Rhett's injury the two realize first impressions can change. Throw in the fact that Joey attaches herself to Leah and things are not going to be as easy as Leah thought when she has to leave in 8 weeks.

This was a cute story. I loved Joey and her sassy attitude and having all of the adults wrapped around her finger. Rhett's parents Tex and Jenny were perfect together and I loved that Jenny kept Tex in line. Rhett was grumpy in the beginning, but I could still feel the love he had for his daughter and how she was his whole world. Leah was great with dealing with the stubborn Jameson men and the adorable Joey. You could tell she fell in love with the little girl before anything even happened with Rhett. I loved the slow burn of Rhett and Leah's relationship and how they both grew to better versions of themselves together. I also loved their banter throughout the whole book. If you are looking for a funny cowboy book this story is for you!

Cheyenne lives in the small town of Bellamy Creek, teaches Kindergarten and has had a massive crush on her brother's best friend Cole since she was a teenager. The two are once again neighbors as they both are living with their mothers while trying to plan out what to do next in their lives. After Cheyenne accidently sexts Cole, the two start something that was building up for years.

I loved Cheyenne. She was a smart woman who knew what she wanted and deserved. Even when it was hard Cheyenne went with her heart and head and didn't let herself deserve anything less than the best. Cole was a super sexy single dad that was trying to do the best for his daughter while finally dealing with the fact that he wanted Cheyenne. I also loved Cole's daughter Mariah and how she handled everything in this book. This love story is not an easy one. There is angst, the feeling of waiting for the other shoe to drop, loss and the steps of grieving someone who died, but there is also humor and those sweet moments that just make you sigh in happiness and definitely some steamy moments! I loved the first book in the Bellamy series and I really enjoyed this one too. I hope the next book is about Enzo and Bianca because I have a feeling those two are going to be an inferno.

Darlene spoke up. “My mother passed them down to me, and I want to make sure they’re in good condition so I can leave them to Cheyenne when she gets married.” Then she crossed herself and closed her eyes, her lips moving in a quick, silent prayer.

Cheyenne ignored her mother and addressed Mariah again. “My brother and I always had to wash and dry the wedding china on holidays before we went to bed. It took forever.”

“I’d stay and help you, sis, but I have to get Blair home. Sorry.” Griffin gave her a grin that said he wasn’t the least bit sorry, and Cheyenne stuck her tongue out at him.

“Cole, why don’t you stay and give Cheyenne a hand?” My mother suggested, wrapping her scarf around her neck.

“That’s a great idea,” Darlene said brightly. Then she sort of bent over and rubbed one hip, her expression agonized. “I’d help her myself but I’ve been on my feet a lot today and the doctor said that isn’t good for my joints.”

“You should just get to bed, Darlene,”my mother said, shepherding Mariah toward the front door. “Cole will be more than happy to stay and help Cheyenne.”

“Oh, that’s okay.” Cheyenne smiled at me and shook her head. “I can handle them.”

But Darlene beamed at me, reaching over and snatching my coat out of my hands.

“That’s so nice of you, Cole. I’ll just hang this in the front closet.” Before she left the room, she and my mother exchanged a look that had me wondering if the whole helping-with-the-dishes thing had been a set-up.

Either way, ten minutes later Cheyenne and I were pushing up our sleeves in the kitchen, the house dark and silent except for the running faucet and the hum of the dishwasher.

“I’ll wash, you dry?” she asked, adding dish soap to the side of the sink she’d plugged and lined with a towel.

“Sure.”

She took a plate from the stack to her left and placed it in the warm soapy water. “Oh! I almost forgot.” Slipping her rings and bracelets off, she set them on the windowsill above the sink. “So I don’t scratch anything,” she explained.

“Oh.” I glanced down at my wedding ring. “It’s okay,” she said quickly. “You don’t have to take it off.”

“It’s fine,” I said, working it off my finger and placing it on the sill next to her jewelry. For some reason, I felt compelled to explain why I still wore it all the time. “Mariah once told me she likes when I wear it, so . . .”

“I think it’s nice, ”she said. “I like a guy who wears his ring. It says something about him, you know?”

I nodded, my attraction to her growing even stronger. “Still, we’d better be careful with these dishes.”

“Damn right, we’d better,” she deadpanned. “This is my fucking wedding china, Cole. If we even look at it wrong, I might end up a spinster.” She laughed as she gently scrubbed the plate with a cloth. “My God. Is she not totally ridiculous?”

“She’s pretty bad,” I agreed, taking the plate from her and carefully drying it with the soft clean towel she’d given me. “But mine wasn’t much better tonight. Did you have the feeling something was up between them as we were saying goodnight?”

“Yes,” she said. “And it’s probably my fault because I made the mistake of telling my mom you bought me dinner last night. In her mind, I believe we are now betrothed.”

I laughed. “That’s all it takes, huh?”

“Apparently. Tomorrow I’ll be pregnant because we washed dishes together after dark.”

“Wow. Guess I should have worn the rubber gloves.”

Holley, who recently broke up with her ex has to write this article about Jake and the 5 different dates he goes on to find true love. Holley's relationship did not end well and because of it she is a little jaded when it comes to love and not looking forward to writing this article until she meets Jake. 

Holley is quirky and relatable that everyone will fall in love with. Jake is the hot single dad that loves to lighten up the people around them by picking on them. I loved the banter between Jake and Holley and couldn't help but smile every time they spent time together. As the two spend more time together the harder Holley starts to fall for Jake, but can't do anything about it because of the article, but does Jake feel the same way about Holly? The side characters in this book are amazing. I love Holley's dad Phil, Jake's daughter Chloe and Jake's friend Garrett, who truly needs his own story. This will make you swoon, sigh, laugh and smile continuously throughout the book.

When Mack gets the chance of a lifetime to be a race car driver he takes it, even though by doing that he loses the woman he loves. Fast forward a few years later and there is a baby on his doorstep. Mack knows he needs help and the only person he trusts to help take care of his son is the girl he walked away from. After getting an urgent plea from Mack to come help him Lena can't let him suffer. She was not expecting to find out Mack was a dad. Now she has to figure out if she can help him while still protecting her heart.

I liked that Lena was a strong woman who took care of herself. She follows her heart and tries to make sense of what would be best for her. Mack was sweet and it was nice watching him become a father to Oliver. I liked that while there was external drama, most of the drama between the couple was internal. Should Lena stay? Will Mack fight for her? This was a cute, fast read that makes you wonder if second chances will work out.
